use different size barrels and dont make the curls too tight.. hold the curling iron vertically rather than horizontally and they will come out looser and longer

it depends on what kind of style youre going for. i have naturally curly hair so i put leave-in conditioner and gel in it and scrunch it so that i get really small curls. then i pull up the amount of hair that is between the top of my forhead and leave the rest down. if i pull the rest back with another hair tie it makes a really cute artsy type look when the small curls that are too short to be pulled back fall out.

Curled and pulled back away from the face, semi messy looking. Hold in place with bobby pins. Its the perfect do, to do if you are in a hurry as it is ok if it looks messy. Plus once you master this.... TRY, putting your hair in a simple pony tail and then trying the same exact thing. Its hot trust me! And ooooh so easy!
