How do i get cute, messy, and curly hair?

My hair is somewhat wavy, but when i put this curling spray in it it can get curly. How do i get it to look like the typical "bed head" look? please help (by the way i don't want to take a shower but since im about to go to bed its ok if i have to put it in buns or something...) also i have a ton of products i could use (pomade, shine spray, curling spray, mousse, hairspray, and pretty much anything else...) all responses are greatly appreciated!!

i love changed my hair to make it look messy like the way you're describing it. sometimes i'll use a flat iron to make my hair wavy by twisting my hair while i move the flat iron down. i do that to very small sections of my hair and then after that, i mess it up. another way to get that messy look is to tease your hair. if you dont know what that is, just get a brush or a comb and back comb it slightly so that it looks messy

When you get your next hair cut bring a print out from this web site or a picture from an A %26amp; F catalog so your hair stylist can see exactly what you want.

You can flat iron sections with a really thin iron to flatten out the curls slightly %26amp; use pomade on specific sections and at the ends to create definition.

Washing your hair every other day or so helps create that bed-head/messy look. You can just rinse your scalp and hair in between washes depending on what kind of styling product you use.

Types of pomade:

Murray's Hair Pomade (orange tin, cheap but use very sparingly because it's a little hard to wash out)

Pantene pomade/styling cream (flat plastic jar w/ blue logo, inexpensive, smells good, fairly easy to wash out)

Redken Water Wax (flat plastic jar, smells good, pricey salon product but a little goes a long way, adds a little sheen)

or Dessert Essence Jojoba Oil (Trader Joe's, Whole Earth, etc.)

Put just a drop or two in the palm of your hands %26amp; rub them together. Then run through your hair. Jojoba oil will condition your hair %26amp; is good product if you don't wash your hair every day.

i have the same way. it just doesnt do anything you want it to right? well i find that mousse works really good. mousse up your hair and blow dry. not all the way though or it will get frizzy. after its completely dry i straighten my hair underneath. like i put half up and straighten the bottom. keep the outer hair curly. the way my hari is i dont have ringlets justa kin of weird curl. the straight hair underneath will kind of balance it out. it wont look real big. it works good and it looks sexy. good luck!

When you hair is wet apply the product of choice (a mousse or a gel) and scrunch your hair in your hands as you blow dry it with a hairdryer with a defuser. The product will define your curls and help them keep their shape. Don't use to much product though, a little bit goes a long way.

If you are stuck on which products to use, ask your hair dresser which products are best with your hair. Or experiment with Suave or White Rain products (they aren't very expensive and do the same job as the expensive salon brands - although it is fun to indulge yourself on a fancy smelling salon product once in awhile).

maybe getting relaxer for your hair to loosen the curl would help but thats more permanent and requires touch up as your hair grows in. I think a way(time consuming however but temporary)is to straighten your hair FIRST, and work with that. I make my hair wavy by using a big (the biggest you can find) curling iron. Spray with a FLEXIBLE hold hair spray and curl small portions of your hair.(it helps to separte your hair into three layers: starting with hair closest to neck, and workin up to the layer on top of your head.)After you curl a piece DONT Touch it, do your whole head (your gonna have big ringlets) Apply an anti frizz serum in you palms and genlty run fingers thru the curls to loosely break them apart.try not apply to top of you head(near scalp) cuz it'll look like a greasy mess. The hair will settle over 10-15 minutes. Bend over to flip your hair and spray generously. You can use a stiff spray at this point. Your hair will relax and have awesome body and wave...overall it takes me about 25-30 minute but its worth it.I get compliments everytime i do it.

Try poofing it up like this in front and use bobby pins or something, this makes your scalp nice and loose and relaxed lol, no more pulling! Then in the back instead of doing a bun do a ponytaill... cute!

Hmm, not too sure about your hair, it depends on your face shape. About being popular, try being sweet instead of uppity. Don't take offense I'm just saying it was my natural inclination to get a bit poofed up if I was trying to be "cool" and popular. Being sweet, listening to what people have to say, and talking honestly with people like they were long time friends even if you just met them is a sure way to get popular girl. So give it a try, it can't hurt ya. Oh yeah, look in the mirror sometime and pretend you are looking at some other girl, then think of how you would make that girl look if you had to doll her up and take her to school with you.. it helps with ideas for yourself!

Super cute outfits and hair ideas?

M'kay, so I have hair that goes down a couple inches below my shoulders, and I'm going to dye it soon because my roots are showing. :P It's light brown now. My hair is always either in a ponytail or down and straightened. It has long layers but they've grown out, and it had side bangs but they've grown out too. I usually wear jeans and a t-shirt from Hollister or somewhere like that. I sound pretty boring, right?

I'm looking for some suggestions on cute outfits (hopefully not super expensive) and some hot haircuts.. Any suggestions, or places where I can find some good suggestions/pictures?

For clothes, I'm very eclectic. I shop ANYWHERE. (Except Walmart and stuff.) I'm open to any kind of style, although I'm looking for something a little more high-fashion that jeans and a t-shirt, or a tank top layered with a jacket or something.. Shoes are a great suggestion too, I want to find a nice pair of heels since I'm sort and I need all the height I can get. :P So really, suggestions?

yea you did good for your first time! but to frame your face more you should curl it outwards instead of in towards your face. when your done curling it make sure you run through it with your fingers (not a brush it will make it frizzy) to make it look more natural.

1.French braid the sides of your hair like bigtail ones, then pull hairinto a bun instead of finshing the bradi at the end.

The braiding should have worked make sure that you use a product in it like a gel or something to give it some hold. Then the person before is right. The 3 barrell curling iron is amazing. You can get them almost everywhere. It looks like a normal curling iron but with 3 rods on it to curl rather than just the one. You would use it kind of like a crimping iron. Opening it and then clamping down on the hair, then opeing and then clamping down from root to end in sections. Gives a very nice effect. They come in different sizes for varied effects!! Hope this helped!!

when you get out of the shower.... comb through your hair, with a towel try to pat out lots of water, then put some gel in your hair (not on the scalp, just the hair.) scrunch it up with your fingers and dry it upside down using a difuser on the end of your blow dryer... continuing to scrunch it up and adding more gel as you dry it. when it is 100% dry and cool, do not comb or brush it... lightly run your fingers through it like a comb.

you can buy a diffuser at any store, even something like a rite-aid or target or anything... they're not expensive and they just click onto the end of your blow dryer.

I buy ribbon from micheals and imake a bow and super gule a scrap in the middle so it looks neat, then i cut slits in the under neath on either sides and stick in a clip, it works quite well. Bows are adorable! (i hope all that made sense....)

I have super straight hair also. I realized that 1/3 up and 2/3s down gives it a lot of volume and looks really cute. Also low and lose pigtails look great. So do french braids brought to the frong and low. Finally you hair up in a pony tail or down with a small poof in the front using bobby pins looks great for any occasion.

Well, I've had curly hair for a long time (my whole life) so I have a pretty good idea of what looks good on people with curly hair. As far as cuts go, shorter cuts are a little matronly so I wouldn't suggest them. Layers work SOMETIMES, but you have to be willing to spend about 20 minutes on your hair each morning twirling your hair around your fingers, piece by piece. This gives it kind of a ringlet look. I am 14 years old. I have an oval shaped face and a huge foreheard. My hair is sorta a bright red. Not orange but red. It goes about 2 inches below my shoulders. I have layers in it and I wear my hair straight everday. Naturally, my hair is wavy and poofy. I had blondeish highlights put in the front of my hair just to see what it would look like. I'm a freshman in highschool and many of the girls with straight hair do the "poof hairstyle"- straight or scrunched.

you can do this by taking you bangs, or the front part of your hair and combing it back on the top of your head. secure it with either bobby pins or a tiny clip.

I also think scrunching your hair is reallyyy cute. Take a shower at night and add a little moose into your hair before tightly securing your hair into a messy bun on the top of your head. sleep like that and in the morning let it down and you should have natural waves :D

Your hair is pretty the way it is!! I don't normally do too much with my hair, i keep it simple. But my hair is longer, down to my middle back.If you do really crazy things to your hair, it draws attention away from you, and you have a beautiful face! You could curl it in loose waves to play it up. I think messy buns are cute, you should try one.

I wash my hair, and blowdry is on cold on a really low level, and comb it the entire time, if you do it right, it should take awhile, it ill come out straight, and hten i get my inch a half CERAMIC curling iron, and curl little sections at a time, and hold it there for about 15-20 seconds.

Put it up wet in rollers the night before and let it dry overnight. Thermal curls (like hot rollers or curling irons) don't last long. But give yourself a wet set like this and your curls will last until the next time you shampoo.

If your hair is long then you can wear it down, half up and half down or many other ways. If your hair is mid-length or short, you can do some of the same hairstyles too just add some accessories. To get cute makeup just go to a store like CVS or something that has nice makeup for a reasonable price.

If you make a "Pony tail" more on the side of your head, but not too high up (still over the ear)-let楹搒 say on the left side, and leave a 1-2 cm wide "strand" on the other (right) side, it looks really sweet and unique ...it楹搒 even nicer if your hair is curled in a "side-ponytail"...

I'm a big fan of the half pony tail. (when you only put up some of your hair) You can put it in a ponytail, or a cute messy bun. Also, you can use a bunch of small clips and clip a bunch of strands of your hair around your head. With long hair with bangs, I would just keep it down. You can also use a blow dryer to curl the layers so they curl away or towards your face.

Put gel in it while it's still damp after washing and while it's air drying scrunch it with your hands for a funky style.

You could also set it up into rollers such as Velcro rollers after washing and adding moose to roots especially and extend to the ends of the hair shaft. Use Rollers that are about 2 to 2 and a half or 3 inches in diameter, placing the front ones on an angle towards your face and the shoulders. Get some help to put the other ones in the back. It will seem quite voluminous at first but it will settle down within about half an hour or less if you work it down but it will look cute. If you try the roller effect don't brush it out just run your fingers through it and style it with your fingers and a little product like spray or styling balm. It will get more volume if you set it with damp hair and let air dry with rollers left in until it drys this method will hold the style longer. Or it's much quicker if you want to set it on freshly washed hair with moose and blow dried til mostly dry. Then set in the rollers for at least 10 mins or so. Good luck! I hope this helps.

ok there is a technique you can use with a flat brush and a blow dryer. you take as much hair as you want with the brush, then put the blower on HOT. Slowly move the brush and the dryer down your hair. It has about a 50/50 percent success rate. I do it sometimes. And for school, try a messy up do, it really just a messy ponytail.

well when i blow-dry my hair, it makes it frizzy. the straightener makes it look 10x better.

sometimes when i dont feel like straightening all of my hair (i have a lot of hair) i seperate it into halves (like putting it half-up half-down) and put it in a bun. that way you only have to straighten the part thats down and nobody will be able to tell that you only did it halfway!

another thing i like to do is wear hats. i have naturally curly hair, and it looks bad if i just leave it down, so i put a hat on! of course most schools dont allow hats, so only outside of school.

if you have curly or wavy hair, and it looks bad just natural and plain, try putting a bit of gel in it. it makes curls come out and it looks really good.

I think the best haircut that is in right now is getting bangs that hit just above your eyebrows. It should be simple, but in the end it is SO sheek. It's best if you have thick hair. Just make sure you use a good conditioner so that your hair is shiny. That's definitely the best look.

My suggestion is to use CHI Silk Infusion.

Apply it before you use any heat product on your hair. It gives your hair shine and if using a straightner, it steams the prodcut rather than your hair.

As far as scrunching your hair, the Aussie line has a great "srpunch" line that you can use to scrunch your hair and keep it stayed scrunched.

Bedhead makes this new product, I can't remember the name of it, but it is supposed to work like hairspray, only you use a little bit of it, and it goes a long way, plus it's stronger than hairspray and it can leave your teasing in longer as opposed to using hairspray!

brush up your hair from your forehead then clip it just on top of your head not behind. and brush your haird at the sides towards your ears and pull together in a ponytail.

Ok. Bend Over like you're about to da a pony tail, but split your hair into 2 parts. The 1st part is closest to your face. With the 2nd part make a pony tail. With the 1st part make a lump, Twist and secure with clips. It might take a while to get the hang off though!

Start by parting your hair into 2 separate parts. Using the end of a comb preferably one with those sharp pointy ends, anyway backcomb for added height at crown. Pin then set it with hairspray.

For the rest of it, simply part ponytail to the side %26amp; VOILA, you're good to go^_^

start from the top, just wrap your hair around the curling iron at the spot where it meets the handle, twisting your hair down and at the very end clip the end of your hair

this may sound confusing, but follow this and it makes the PRETTIEST curls! when my hair was long, I did this a lot, it looks really pretty, you caneither make it look natural and wavy or more formal and ringlety!

I am allowed to wear my hair down or up for school.......and I have no idea what to do with it!!!

I have brown, (longish) layered hair, which comes about 3 or 4 inches down from my shoulders, and I really want a cute, preppy easy haorstyle that I can do myself.....any ideas??

I like to tie a light silk scarf in mine - one of those fat ribbon kind. Kind of retro-60's style, i tie it in a small bow at the back and have long streamers.. My yellow one gets a lot of use in the summer time!
